We currently offer free

beginners WORKSHOPS to groups

throughout Glasgow.


The aim of the series of six sessions is to equip poets with tools, develop the confidence to tinker with their work, and to try out new things in an encouraging environment.

There is the option of hosting a local poetry event at the end of the series if circumstances permit.

 

Sessions are for up to 2 hours with a maximum of 6 participants, and can be monthly, weekly, over consecutive days, or throughout a single weekend, subject to leader availability.

 

Groups can meet online via Zoom or face-to-face, subject to prevailing Covid restrictions. Groups wishing to meet face-to-face will need to provide the venue and comply with any venue requirements.

Reverse-action publishing provides a focal point for joint working and team building, for awakening a common vision, for evoking creativity, for embedding existing skills and learning new ones. Participants develop a brief, collate and manage information, and  build links with others. The process provides a gateway for diverse communities to enter the social conversation. The result grows self-esteem and is lasting evidence of participant involvement, which can then be used as a souvenir and/or a CV and/or a spur to develop the many skills learned to create it.
