About the event

A creative session mixing poetry, rhythm, and storytelling. Join City of Poets and members of the OILCAN CREATIVE TEAM to explore how poetry can transform into rap —  how your words can take on a new life when spoken over a beat. You don’t need to be a rapper; you just need a willingness to play with language. Together, we’ll experiment with structure, flow, rhyme, and emotion. Some of the work created here may even influence or inspire material for our upcoming OILCAN the musical in 2026.  This is your chance to be part of something huge.
