About the event

If you’ve ever wanted to read your work aloud with more confidence — or if you’ve never dared read in front of anyone at all — this is the workshop for you. Together with City of Poets and Stravaig Creative Arts, you’ll explore how to use a microphone properly, how to move comfortably on stage, how to hold the room’s attention, and how to let your voice carry your poem forward. It’s warm, supportive, and designed for people who want to grow at their own pace. You’ll practise in front of a small, encouraging group, and leave feeling a little braver than when you walked in.
